The Innovation Lab is the only fully equipped, state-of-the-art, curriculum-based, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) lab of its kind for early childhood and elementary school students in the area.
Holy Child Academy’s Innovation Lab was installed in June 2017 to provide opportunities for students to develop the critical 21st Century Skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, time management, perseverance, and problem solving through the use and development of technology skills and engineering principles. Students from age 2 through grade eight increase their technological literacy and knowledge of STEAM concepts, as they discover new ways to experience these disciplines, foster their creativity through problem solving and critical thinking, and cultivate their communication and collaboration skills through challenging project based learning requiring perseverance and project management skills. This approach to STEAM learning will prepare them for high school and beyond.
