Admissions FAQs

Is there a deadline to apply to the school?

No, Holy Child Academy (HCA) offers rolling admissions. We recommend that you submit your application early to ensure that your child has a place in his or her class.

Must my child(ren) be tested?

While testing is not a primary requirement for admission, if we determine that we need more information after the social visit, we may require the applicant to submit the results of the WPPSI-IV (Wechsler Pre-Primary Scale of Intelligence). This test is administered at a number of educational testing services.

What is the makeup of the HCA student population?

HCA represents the diversity of our local area in both ethnicity and religious affiliation. In addition, Holy Child Academy has an institutional commitment to the principles of diversity. In that spirit, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, or any other characteristics.

Does HCA offer an after-school program?

Yes. Students at HCA may attend the after-school enrichment program, HCA Plus, from 3:15 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Does Holy Child Academy offer financial aid?

Yes. HCA offers need-based financial aid.

Does applying for financial aid influence the admission decision?

No. HCA accepts students based on academic merit, teacher evaluations, classroom visits, and test scores. Financial aid files are reviewed independently of the admission process.

Can I pay my tuition in installments?

Yes. HCA offers four different payment plans: a one-time payment with a 1% tuition discount, a two-time payment, ten monthly payments, or seven monthly payments. HCA also offers a 10 percent tuition discount to families with three or more children enrolled. The ten monthly payment plan starts in May and has a $75 registration fee. The seven-month payment plan starts in August and is a debit transaction to one’s bank account.
