Books and Resources
This is a diverse book list organized by grade and demographic. Please know that this is a living document, and we will be updating it throughout the year. We would also love your suggestions. If you know a book that belongs on these lists, please send the title and author to Julie Myers at jmyers@holychildacademy.com.
Because reading levels vary, we encourage you to look at the lists above and below your child’s grade level too.
Finally, feedback is always welcome. If you feel there is a book that would be better suited in a different grade level or notice that there are significantly less Asian male protagonists than Asian female protagonists, for example, on any given grade level lists, please let us know at Julie’s email above.
The idea is for this to be an ongoing group passion project that ultimately opens up a world of reading, diversity, and inclusion for our children.
