Fall School Clubs

The Knight School Chess 

Fridays 3:15-4:15, Date: 9/15-10/27

Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th are welcome to join! The Knight School Chess Team is your school's official chess team and chess party. The Knight School's approach has had amazing success -- winning multiple state championships -- because our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine.

In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess, their classroom, sports, and their home lives as well!

Students in grades 1st and 2nd (This session is full)

Tuesday, 9/19-11/14 (off 10/31) from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM  

Soccer Shots Premier focuses on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner. Held on the field/gym weather permitting.

Season Length: 8 weeks   

 


Students in grade N3 through Kindergarten

Friday, 9/22-11/17 (off 11/10) from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM

Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation. Held on the field/gym weather permitting.

¡Hola a todos! / Hello everybody!

While HCA's Spanish program can't be beat, there's so many aspects to both the Spanish language and Hispanic culture that there simply isn't enough time in the school year for it! Enrolling in El club de español will mean learning about different places and days across the Spanish-speaking world, learning new phrases that aren't part of the regular Spanish curriculum, and taking part in activities from other parts of the world.
