Students will have opportunities to direct and perform in a scene that range from musicals to plays. This is an opportunity to work on your acting and performing skills! Students will work with Mrs. Abby Dietzler on choosing material, blocking scenes, acting and performance skills, emoting, and physicality as an actor.

Maker Cardboard Challenge

Kindergarten through 4th grade

Based on the Global Cardboard Challenge from Imagination.org, students will determine a need they see in the community, design a solution, and build their solution out of cardboard and recycled materials while using their imaginations and 21st Century skills.  When their solutions are completed they share their creations with the group and create a short video explaining their project.

Which are cooler: unicorns or dragons? Star Wars or Avengers? Inspired by the popular podcast, Smash Boom Best, students will learn some of the fundamentals of debate while using their creativity to battle with their words and defend their arguments in a fun setting.

Studies have shown that learning a 2nd language aides students in other academic areas as well as enhancing creativity & problem solving skills. Our immersion style Spanish Club  includes interactive language lessons incorporating games, music, activities, singing and crafts. We’ll learn introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as learn vocabulary related to our theme.

Theme: Let’s GO to the Restaurant! What is your favorite restaurant and type of food? Students will learn about ordering food at a restaurant.  We’ll practice dining and ordering.  How do you ask for the check?  Learn introductory vocabulary and phrases about the Spring as well as colors and numbers 1-20+.  Students will hear about Spring Latin holidays and we’ll make a variety of crafts related to Spring.
