Summer Camp FAQs

How do I sign up for camp?

  • The camp registration link will be available on Friday, Feburary 2.

Do I have to select each week or can I just register for the whole summer?

  • You need to register for each week that you would like your child(ren) to attend camp.

What camp do I select for my child?

  • Little Dragons camp is for preschool aged children (2-3 years old). The traditional camp is for rising Pre-K students and above (ages 4-14) for the 2024-2025 school year.

What are the rates for camp?

  • The rates are dependent on the number of days you would like your child to attend camp and are as follows:

    • 3 half days: $150 per week

    • 3 full days: $210 per week

    • 4 half days: $200 per week

    • 4 full days: $280 per week

    • 5 half days: $250 per week

    • 5 full days: $350 per week

If my children attend camp part time, how do I select the days of the week I want them to attend?

  • A Google Form will be sent out closer to the start of camp for families to select their days. Parents can select different schedules for different weeks if needed. Once the days are set, campers may not change their schedule.

What are the camp hours?

  • The half day program runs from 8:30am-12:30 pm (including lunch) and the full day program runs from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Is before/after care available?

  • Yes, before and after care are available for an additional fee. You will need one coupon per session. For example, if a child arrives early for before care and stays late for after care on a given day, you will need two coupons. Coupons are available for purchase on the registration site. Single coupons are $10.00 or you may purchase 10 coupons for $90.

  • Campers may be dropped off for before care beginning at 7:30 am. After care runs from 4:30-6:00pm.

The website says registration is closed. Can I still get my child in?

  • No. Once a session reaches capacity, that age group will be closed. If you would like, we can add your child to the waiting list.

How does drop off/pick up work?

  • Parents are required to come into the lobby each morning to sign in their child(ren). At the end of the day, parents must sign out their camper(s) as well.

Do I need to provide snack/lunch for my child?

  • Yes. Parents must pack a morning snack and an afternoon snack (if applicable). Campers may bring lunch from home or purchase lunch through our lunch provider, JD McGillicuddy’s. More information on the lunch program will be provided at a later date.

What does my child need for camp each day?

  • All campers should bring a refillable water bottle each day. We have water stations at school for the campers to refill their water bottles as needed. Campers should also bring a bag/backpack to hold their items for the day.

  • Campers are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and/or sunglasses as they will be outside throughout the day.

  • Little Dragons’ campers need to bring diapers/pull-ups/wipes as well as a rest mat and towel. Parents should also pack extra clothes for their child(ren) in case of emergencies.

  • Rising Pre-K campers should also bring a towel/rest mat for rest time.

Who are the camp counselors?

  • High school and college students work as our camp counselors throughout the summer. Many of our counselors are HCA graduates or former campers themselves. All camp staff are required to have background checks and mandated reporter training.

What is the daily schedule for Little Dragons’ campers?

  • Our youngest campers will spend the majority of their time in our early childhood classrooms. We take a maximum of 20 campers per week. Campers will participate in activities such as circle time, free play, music, dance, arts and crafts, etc. Campers will have time outside on the playground and in the gym as well.

What is the daily schedule for traditional campers?

  • Campers are separated by age into 5 groups. Your child will learn what group they are in when they arrive at camp. Counselors will travel with the campers to a variety of activities throughout the day such as P.E., arts and crafts, culinary arts, STEM, world cultures, etc.

Is there a calendar of activities for camp?

  • Yes. Monthly calendars with themed weeks, special activities, and field trips will be provided before the start of camp. Weekly emails will also be sent home with upcoming events for the following week.

  • Parents of part time campers will receive the monthly calendar before they need to select their child’s days for camp.
