Welcome to the Chess Party! The Knight School Chess Team is your school's official chess team and chess party. The Knight School's approach has had amazing success -- winning multiple state championships -- because our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine. In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess, their classroom, sports, and their home lives as well! Class meets in your child's school weekly for 1 hour.

Studies have shown that learning a 2nd language aides students in other academic areas as well as enhancing creativity & problem solving skills. Our immersion style Spanish Club  includes interactive language lessons incorporating games, music, activities, singing and crafts. We’ll learn introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as learn vocabulary related to our theme.

 

WINTER THEME: Let's cook at home! Students will learn about different meals, ingredients and place settings . What
are your favorite meals & foods? We'll practice setting the table. Talk about what we have for breakfast, lunch & dinner in the USA and Latin America.   Learn introductory vocabulary and phrases about the Winter as well as colors and numbers 1-20 +.  Students will hear about Winter Latin holidays and we’ll make a variety of crafts related to Winter.
