Silly Leprechauns!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope everyone had a fun weekend.

I don't know if you heard, but a silly, sneaky leprechaun made a visit to the early childhood hallway on Friday! We don't know how it happened, but when the children came back from recess our hallway was covered with shamrocks, pots of gold, glitter, confetti, leprechaun footprints, chocolate coins, and MORE. When we came back into the classroom they were excited and shocked to see the leprechaun had been there as well. Chairs were turned over, furniture rearranged, toys played with, and special treats were thrown all around. After we collected all of the chocolate coins, and did some investigating, they all decided that they wanted to clean up the mess that the silly leprechaun had made and get our room back to normal. They are the best! The day was filled with festivities. The class loved doing our rainbow art activity, where they matched and glued fruit loops to the correct colors of the rainbow! We may have eaten more fruit loops than we got on the paper, but it was super fun... and delicious!

The children were great audience members on Thursday when they got to watch the school performance of The Wizard Of Oz. Although the Witch was a little scary to some, we talked about how it was all pretend and each character were just kids in the school playing a part. It made my heart so happy to watch them watch and enjoy the show.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to our classroom this Wednesday. The kids are excited for you to sit with them and participate during our circle time, teach you some of the lessons they are learning during our Montessori work period, and bring you up to the gym to partake in some fun activities! We will all share a snack, and, if the weather holds out, play together outside on the playground. I hope you are all able to join us! Please let me know if you are unable to join us, we would love each child to have an adult with them to share this special time.
