Last week, we traveled to Lankenau Hospital for a field trip! The students learned about our skeletons, the food groups, and how to stay healthy!  It was a very interactive lesson that in which all of the children all got to participate.  The hospital staff was very excited to see all of the Eagles gear and asked the students to sing the Eagles fight song for them.  We happily obliged their request!  Besides seeing a real skeleton, the students' favorite part of the trip was definitely the bus ride!

Reminders!!

*There is no school on Friday, February 17th or Monday, February 20th due to a faculty inservice and Presidents' Day.

*Next week, P.E. is Friday (Day 3).

*There will be a Krispy Kreme doughnut sale on Tuesday, February 21st. Doughnuts will be $2 each.  Students will be allowed to purchase a maximum of two doughnuts.  Students can also purchase a raffle ticket for $1 for the chance to win a dozen of the original glazed doughnuts!  All proceeds will be donated to Catholic Relief Services.

*We begin the season of Lent with the Ash Wednesday Prayer Service on February 22nd at 8:15 a.m. in the gym.  The prayer service will be led by the 3rd grade class.  All parents are invited and welcome to join us.  All students will need to wear their regular school uniform.

*Black History Projects are due Friday, February 24th.
