The Fourth Week of April

This past Monday, HCA celebrated Earth Day with school wide activities. First Grade helped to create. The students painted empty plastic water bottles. The water bottles will then be cut into spirals, which will be combined to make a wind chime for the school. In class, we have talked a lot about different ways each student can help protect the Earth by reducing, reusing and recycling. This project was a great example for the students to see how there are easy things they each can do to repurpose objects, so they don't end up in the trash.
