Fifth graders enjoyed a visit from St. Nicholas on his feast day this past Tuesday, Dec. 6. They took a break from math class to place their shoes outside of the classroom and came back to a sweet treat!

Reminders for Dec. 9, 2022:

• Fifth graders will be creating gingerbread geometric structures on Wednesday, Dec. 14. Please sign and return the physical copy of your child's permission slip (photo below) and send in the materials by Monday, Dec. 12. You can email Mrs. DeLuca (mdeluca@holychildacademy.com) or Mr. O'Sullivan (dosullivan@holychildacademy.com) with any questions.

• Please remember to send in your donation for our Toys for Tots drive! 

• We hope you can join us for our Family Advent Liturgy on Sunday, December 11, at 1:00 pm.

• The book fair has arrived at HCA! The students will be shopping with their classes next week. If you would like your child to shop, please send the money in an envelope with your child’s name on it.

• Student Council is selling Candy grams - $1 to send a candy cane and personalized note to any HCA students or teachers.

• Save the date for the EC/LS Christmas Show on Wednesday, December 14, at 6:00 pm. 

• On Thursday, December 15, we will celebrate Grandparents’ Day for the EC/LS students. All early childhood students are welcome to attend even if it is not your child’s normal scheduled day. All grandparents should have received an invitation. If you have any questions, please contact Marita Blackney-Donovan at mbdonovan@holychildacademy.com. 

• The last day of school before Christmas break is Friday, December 16. Students may come to school dressed in holiday colors! There will be a noon dismissal with no lunch and no HCA Plus. 

• Christmas break runs from December 17 - January 3. Classes resume on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
